Historically, the Weiner Pharmacy first occupied this building on Gay Street, along with a pool hall above it. In 1976, the McGaffney’s, a native West Chester couple occupied the building and introduced the opening of Penn’s Table Restaurant. In 1997, there was a tragic fire causing the couple to temporarily close the restaurant.

In 1999, the Marion Family (left) purchased the restaurant and began “busting yokes” for the next eighteen years.

In December of 2017, the Lucas family (left) purchased the restaurant from the Marion’s and began a new chapter for Penn’s Table. Although the ownership has changed over the years, the spirit, ambiance, friendly service, and delicious food has never wavered. Penn’s Table Restaurant continues to embody the culture, love, friendship, strong faith, and goodwill of this great historical town. The Lucas Family warmly welcomes you to “come have a seat at our table!”
